In a blog post that was just published, PlayStation has announced that they are raising the prices of their consoels as of August 21st. The new prices are reflected below.
PlayStation 5 – $549.99
PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – $499.99
PlayStation 5 Pro – $749.99
Thankfully the prices of accessories and other PlayStation products remains unchanged.
This is a small increase but it can still significantly impact the future sales of the consoles. However, we are late enough in the systems lifecycle to where this shouldn’t be an issue for many people.
Xbox also raised their prices earlier this year, so now all we have to do is wait for Nintendo to raise the prices on the Switch 2 and we can come full circle.
