Silent Hill f is a landmark title for several reasons but the biggest one being that this is the first game in the series that does not take place in an American town. For the first time in the series history, we are going to Japan, and this is perhaps our youngest protagonist since Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3.
Silent Hill f puts you in the shoes of Hinako Shimizu's, a resident of Ebisugaoka, a small town in Japan. When Hinako’s town is suddenly consumed by a mysterious fog and changes the world around her, she must navigate the new horrors, a mysterious new face and all of the horrors brought on by the fog. The brand new trailer shown at Gamescom yesterday shows us a look at some combat, a peek at the story, and all of the terrors that await us in the town.
With a revived focus on storytelling and characters, this is the first new original entry in over a decade with the last mainline entry to the series being Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012. We are already seeing a revival of the series and I can only hope that Silent Hill f exceeds my expectations when it relesaes on September 25th for Xbox Series, PS5, and PC.
