PlayStation Makes It Easier To Get Refunds Through The App

PlayStation has added a new way for players to request for refunds on their platforms while still maintaining their outdated rule that the content can not be downloaded at all.

Previously for refunds, you would have to go through an online agent and jump through a few verification hoops in the case of a misplaced pre-order, but a new feature allows you to request for refunds from the PlayStation app on your phone.

Keep in mind that this situation is best for if you pre-order a game and wish to cancel it. PlayStations policy on refunds for purchased games is nowhere near as good as Steam’s, because once you buy the product and launch it, its effectively game over.

The company has been known to make exception for absolutely broken products such as Cyberpunk 2077 (on launch for the PS4) and most recently, Mindseye.

While it is now more convenient to cancel misplaced pre-orders, we do wish Sony worked on their refund mechanism to modern day gaming standards.
