After dropping the franchises first-ever story expansion DLC, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros have shifted their focus on Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC to be what we have always expected; new skins! They have already given us a new one for Johnny Cage, but now we are looking at multiple upcoming packs to gives a new skin to three characters a piece. The first of these packs being the Summer Heat skin pack which drops tomorrow on August 6th for all platforms.
In the Summer Heat skin pack, we are getting the following skins:
“Endless Summer Kitana” which will have Kitana dressed in seasonal Edenian attire.
“Off the Bone Baraka” which shows Baraka prepping his barbecue.
“Fireworks Erron Black” which has Erron Black donning a red, white, and blue patriotic suit and top hat.
The next two packs to follow the Summer Heat skin pack will be the Klassic Femme Fatale skin pack on August 25th and the All Hallows’ Eve skin pack on October 8th. While neither one confirms what characters will be getting new skins, we do know that it will be three characters in each one. All skin packs, including Summer Heat and Johnny’s “Thanks a Million” outfit, are included for those who purchased the Aftermath expansion.
Personally, I find myself using the classic Sub-Zero, famous Scorpion, or the heavy hitter Kotal Khan fighters when I play, so I am hoping to see some new skins for one of them in these upcoming packs.
