Activision’s reveal for their upcoming title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 rocked the house off of its foundation when it was released today. The trailer that served as the meaty part of the reveal gave players exactly what they wanted; an amazing, action-packed adventure that showed off the power of Task Force 141 while rap and heavy metal played in the background.
It felt just as the trailers of old did back when the franchise was at its highest point during the releases of the original MW2 and the first Black Ops title. It seems that Activision and Infinity Ward have heard what the players want and now it’s time for them to deliver.
This new entry will see what Activision calls “immersive, world-class multiplayer” as well as an evolution of the fan-favorite Special Ops game mode. Its campaign will see Task Force 141 trotting the globe through Asia, the Americas, and Europe as they try to take down a new threat.
Alongside what was mentioned above came some very exciting news, not just for this title but for the future of the franchise as a whole.
