Don’t call it a comeback but Dotemu is bringing back some 90s nostalgia with their latest title, Windjammers 2! As the direct sequel to the NeoGeo cult classic Windjammers, Dotemu aims for Windjammers 2 to bring back what players loved all those years ago about the original while introducing fresh new game mechanics and characters!
The title releases on January 20th and will still feature the classic showdowns that’ll challenge competitors greatly as they try to both make shots for their rival’s goal while protecting their own at the same time. Gameplay is as strategic as ever and matches are going to be even more intense than players may have been used to in the past.
As a product of the mid-90s myself, I’m more than ecstatic to see a game like this being made. Though its visuals are a bit more polished than they may have looked in that time, the music and overall look definitely call back to that special time in history.
