Doom Eternal has been pushed back several months until March of 2020. id Software announced the decision on the game’s Twitter page. Moving back the release date will enable the developer to achieve what they want to with the eagerly awaited sequel.
In an effort to quell any complaining that might stir following the announcement of a launch delay, id Software also announced several details. A free update after launch will include Invasion Mode, where players can join other players’ games as a demon. Also, Doom 64 will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 20th, 2020. If you pre-order Doom Eternal, you’ll receive the classic game for free.
