Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is the latest entry in Nintendo’s long-running Mario franchise spin-off franchise featuring everyone’s favorite green dinosaur. This time around, the Yoshis meet a strange book and help him to remember the creature living inside of him. But just how long will you spend seeing this newest Yoshi adventure through to the end? How long does it take to beat Yoshi and the Mysterious Book?
It will take most folks around 6-8 hours to clear the main story in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. Of course, this would be simply clearing every one of the game’s initial six chapters with the bare minimum necessary to pass them. It doesn’t take into account fully clearing every level by collecting all of the Smiley Flowers and making every discovery.
After beating the initial six chapters, you’ll unlock the post-game, which features an additional four chapters (for a total of 10). Those looking to go for full completion of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book may be looking at closer to 20-25 hours of playtime. While the game doesn’t feature any meaningful threats (you can’t die), figuring out its bevy of unique mechanics and secrets can take quite a bit of time without a guide. Luckily, when you’re feeling particularly stuck, there will always be hints available to push you toward solutions.
