I became interested in the Nier franchise after testing out Nier: Automata on Xbox Game Pass. Although I am not too far in that game, I was taken aback by how the game was designed. It started off as a 2D shoot-em-up game and proceeded to a 3D hack and slash game with RPG elements. I later learned that the game was developed by the famous Platinum Games and it all made sense. If you want to try Automata yourself, the game is still there on Game Pass, assuming you are a member.
Shortly thereafter, I learned that Bandai Namco published another game in the series that was set for release on the PS4, Xbox One, and Steam and I became interested in learning more about it NieR Replicant. It is a remake of a Japanese-only game for the PlayStation 3 and was released on April 23, 2021. This modern-day upgrade to the PS3 game contains upgraded visuals and the same great story. According to the game’s website, the story consists of a kind young man living in a remote village. In order to save his sister Yonah, who fell terminally ill to the Black Scrawl, he sets out with Grimoire Weiss, a strange talking tome, to search for the 'Sealed verses.’
Are you ready to save your sister, Yonah, from the Black Scrawl and play an upgraded version of a game, that was previously only released in Japan? I know I am!
