One of the first weapons you can acquire in Mortal Shell 2 is the Axe & Dagger. You can find this fast dual-wielding weapon by purchasing a map from the Merchant in Marrow Keep, but getting your hands on it isn’t as easy as you’d think. We’ll take you through the puzzles that lead you to the Axe & Dagger in Mortal Shell 2.
How to find the Axe & Dagger in Mortal Shell 2
To enter the dungeon holding the Axe & Dagger in Mortal Shell 2, you must first find the Chapel Key. This key is south of the Mushroom Village, hanging on a rope that you have to make appear by stepping through the archway.
Once you’ve acquired the key, head north to the large chapel north of the village. Use the key to unlock the door, enter the building, and clear out the group of enemies in the hallway with the statue. Reading the statue’s plaque gives you a clue of what to do next.
You can get through by facing the front of the statue, then walking backwards until you hit the stone wall that disappears. This next room has some wraiths, so take them out first.
You’ll notice that the door to the next room only opens when you step on the button on the floor. Walk over to the stone pedestal across from it and hit it with a melee attack to push the pedestal across the floor and onto the button.
Now that you know how these buttons work, the next room will test your skills even more. Clear out the enemies in this next room, and follow these instructions:
Push the pedestal on the left to the left side of the room.
Push the same pedestal to the back of the room to land on the first button.
Go to the second pedestal and push it the exact same way so it hits the first pedestal.
Push the second pedestal to the right side of the room to hit the last button.
Once that’s done, you can continue to the next rooms, and there are no more puzzles to complete. Take care of any enemies left, and you’ll find the pedestal with the Axe & Dagger for you to take.
