The second season of Amazon Games' MMORPG New World has kicked off, and a ton of new content is available to prospective explorers.
The new season, 'Blood Of The Sands', introduces an enigmatic group of the same name. Sinister figures who, under the leadership of an individual called Malek, have a grand plan. They've set out to revive an ancient creature known as The Devourer. With a name like that, the results probably won't be good. Players will enter the Aerna of Shah Neshen and go toe-to-toe with an enormous sandwurm for a chance at some big rewards.
That's not all that Season Two has in store for players. An upcoming update is set to introduce the Transmog system. This allows players to collect tokens which they can use to convert equippable gear into cosmetic skins. This way, players don't have to part with a particularly aesthetic piece of armor when its stats no longer measure up.
Speaking of aesthetics, some new cosmetic gear arrives with the advent of the Dry-Bone Armor Set, and a new emote with the Worm Dance. These can be picked up via the reward tracks on the Season Pass.
New World is available now for PC via Steam.
