Many fans were worried about Kingdom Hearts 4 after a four-year wait for a trailer, but we’ve finally seen life in Sora’s new adventures in Quadratum, thanks to the June 2026 Nintendo Direct trailer. Because we’ve only witnessed the Tokyo-inspired city environments so far (except for a Star Wars-like forest), some have worried that Disney will be completely dropped.
Thankfully, it’s been confirmed Disney worlds will return. Here are the five we want to see in Kingdom Hearts 4, kupo!
Nomanasian Island/Metroville (The Incredibles)
Pixar’s The Incredibles makes so much sense for Kingdom Hearts 4. With the huge Darkside-like creature we see in Quadratum, there will be a bigger scale to boss fights in this outing. A version of the Omnidroid would be a fantastic fight for Sora to take on, as it would encourage vast movement and tactics to take the giant robot down. It would be cool to see Sora, Donald, and Goofy in superhero outfits.
As Monstropolis and Toybox, other Pixar-based worlds, followed original stories, The Incredibles would likely follow the same route. Perhaps, we could go against the Underminer in that case, directly following the plot from the first flick. It would make up for the bland action game based on this concept for the PS2.
Wonderland (Alice in Wonderland)
Originally a world in the first Kingdom Hearts, Wonderland has always been one of my favourites in the series, due to how odd it is. It would be interesting to see how Tim Burton’s vision of the world would work in Kingdom Hearts 4. Part of what made the original Wonderland interesting is how Sora interacted with the world, such as giving certain items to flowers to earn rewards. It even hid a special keychain called Lady Luck if you look hard enough.
I dearly miss that element from the first game. I’d love to be puzzled and challenged through this new version of Wonderland with creative tasks to find secret treasure. It would be fun to see Johnny Depp’s take as the Mad Hatter as a party member, too. I think the 2010 film gets too much hate, and it would be incredible to see this imaginative world come to life in Kingdom Hearts 4. Imagine the Jabberwocky as a boss!
Sakaar/Asgard (Thor Ragnarok)
It might be difficult to remember Sakaar, but it’s the world where the majority of Thor Ragnarok takes place. It would be a stellar, opulent venue for an Olympus Coliseum-like world, where you could go through rounds of battles.
Here, you could take on Marvel villains from across the galaxy. There might even be a fight against Hulk, which would be epic for Sora and friends to take on. Hela, later on in Asgard, could also be a huge fight at the end. One of my major complaints about KH3 is that the Disney bosses felt too weak to face Sora’s mighty skills; with literal gods to fight in the MCU, that can be fixed.
There is also plenty of comedic potential with the mighty Thor and the small fry Sora. Think of the banter between the characters!
After the initial story, Sora could possibly return for more battles in the arena, like the Hades Cup. Who knows… Maybe Cloud and Sephiroth are here too after they teleported away in Radiant Garden in Kingdom Hearts 2. If Marvel has to be in Kingdom Hearts 4, I think this is the best way to go about it.
Sherwood Forest (Robin Hood)
Robin Hood would be a fantastic way to introduce a classic film to a new audience. Having an archer in your party would mix up the combat, and the storyline is comedic in nature, so it’d offer a nice change of pace from the more serious nature of Quadratum.
Additionally, Sherwood Forest would look so pretty; the English countryside, the medieval architecture, and the castles. I would love to see what Unreal Engine 5 and current-generation graphics can do with a classic Disney 2D animated world like this.
Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor is something Sora would very much be interested in doing as well, as he’s quite the rebel when he’s around Jack Sparrow. It could be the same with Robin Hood.
Treasure Planet (Treasure Planet)
This feels like such a long shot, but I had to include Treasure Planet on this list. It’s my favorite Disney movie after all! There’s so much potential for beautiful sci-fi adventures here.
Jim Hawkins and Sora would vibe so well as they explore the world on a solar surfer and take on pirates. If Sora starts out in Montressor, you could have a packed town. Then, on the RLS Legacy, Sora could face the terrifying black hole as he fights a devastating heartless behind it.
Later on, there could be an intense boss battle against the pirates on board, like the scary spider-like villain Scroop or John Silver (before he turns good). Can you imagine a thrilling and heart-pounding solar surfer scene to the teleportation device alongside Jim? It would be cool to have Captain Amelia as a party member, too.
As our little keyblade hero is growing up, Treasure Planet would be a fitting world for Kingdom Hearts 4, offering a grittier coming-of-age story for Sora than most Disney outings. Sadly, the closest we’ll get is probably Duskfade, as its main character design is inspired by both Sora and Jim Hawkins.
