The Adventures of Elliot Collector's Edition is Wonderful... If You Can Find One

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales has managed to be another critical success in Square-Enix’s growing lineup of HD-2D games. I loved exploring its magical world and meeting its intriguing cast of characters on Elliot’s quest through the ages, so I was delighted when Square-Enix offered to send me a Collector’s Edition of the game to check out.

This stunning Collector’s Edition features both a statue of Faie with the Door of Time and the Original Soundtrack for the game, making it a killer buy for fans of The Adventures of Elliot who want to really showcase their adoration.

The Adventures of Elliot Collector’s Edition impressions

For most folks, the main draw of The Adventures of Elliot Collector’s Edition is certain to be the gorgeous Faie and the Door of Time clock statue.

Standing nearly 9 inches tall, this immaculately detailed statue is popping with color. I especially love the way Faie is sitting on Elliot’s iconic cap, sporting a big smile. It’s adorable and really sells the whimsical nature of the game.

The statue is not only beautiful but also serves as a fully functioning clock. Unfortunately, the required LR44 button cell (1.5V) battery is not included in the box, so I wasn’t able to test its accuracy. It’s a disappointing omission, but the clock is still a neat extra feature for anyone looking to get the most out of the statue.

The music in The Adventures of Elliot is beautiful, so it’s also lovely to have the four-disc collection of the Original Soundtrack, too.

Each disc has a picture of one of the game’s most important characters, which incentivizes finding a way to display them.

This soundtrack is said to be available to purchase separately at a later date as well — though I couldn’t imagine passing up the clock statue, personally.

Where to buy The Adventures of Elliot Collector’s Edition

The Adventures of Elliot Collector’s Edition is only available from the official Square-Enix website. However, at the time of this writing, the version of the game is sold out on the North American Square-Enix site. If you’re in the UK, you can still purchase it from the EU Square-Enix store for £150.00, though it’s worth noting it could sell out there soon, too.

Note that the Collector’s Edition does not contain a code or cartridge for The Adventures of Elliot. As such, you’ll need to purchase a copy of the game separately.
