One of the first side quests you can acquire in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is Monster in the Night. No matter which protagonist’s route you choose, you can find this side quest in Dagsion. Unfortunately, figuring out where to start this mission isn’t super obvious, so we’ll help you complete the Monster in the Night side quest in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
How to complete Monster in the Night quest in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
You’ll find the quest Monster in the Night by speaking to an NPC near the Shopping Arcade who asks you to hunt down a monster at night. Wait around until it’s night by spending free time, then head to the top-right passageway of the Shopping Arcade.
You’ll only notice this area by the little white waypoint on your map. So, walk down the stairs, and you should spot the creature’s tail behind an alleyway. Meet him on the other side, and combat will ensue.
It should only take 2-3 turns for you and your party to defeat the monster, as it’s only quick turn-based combat you’d be able to perform in dungeons. Make sure your party has healed up enough to survive this fight if you’ve just come back from a long journey. You can heal by resting at the inn.
Once you finally take down the ferocious beast, wait until daytime to speak with the NPC again. He will thank you for your efforts and give you a nice reward of 1,500 Gold and 100 Renown.
With that out of the way, you can move on to more important matters such as deciding whether you’d like to switch routes in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
